Licence granted by way of removal from the WHEEL OF FORTUNE, George Street.

It seems that the house was closed for the duration of WWII and did not begin trade until 1952.

The bar was at one time decorated with a model of Buckingham Palace, made by the landlord to celebrate the 1953 Coronation.

House demolished 1999, and site used for housing by January 2000
