William Lake was ordered to pay the court fees on Monday 14th May 1860 for having house open and permitting persons to be drinking therein at an illegal hour on the previous morning. Two other licensees had been fined 5s on the same day for the same offence.

Advertised as the `Smallest pub in Town.'
