Monday 16th August 1869 - Fine of 1s and 13s 6d costs for having house open contrary to new Public House Early Closing Act. The house was open at about one o'clock on the Sunday morning with customers drinking beer and one "stripped to fight". A second charge of permitting drunkenness was dripped upon payment of 5s 6d costs.
