Sedgeford Lane Ward as Sessions Minutes 1742. It was announced 7th February 1756 that the Widow Newman, an her son William Newman had moved from the White Bear, Angel Hill, Bury St. Edmund's to the Dog, High Street. William Newman was to carry on his business of a Cabinet and Chair-Maker and opened a shop adjoining the Dog Tavern, where his Goods of all Kinds were to be sold as cheap as in London. He would also Exchange new Goods for old. |
