Daniel Reeve purchased this site in January 1774.
The ADAM & EVE by 1794.

Offered for sale by auction 16th June 1813, as the PUNCH BOWL.
Old established and good accustomed Public-house, with Outhouses, yard, Garden, and Pightle of Land. Then in the occupation of John Cook, under tenant to John Patteson, Esq.

In 1815 it was referenced as being lately called the Adam & Eve and now under the sign of the PUNCH BOWL.
A yearly rent of £23 had been paid since 1801.
