Horace Taylor retired from the Waggon & Horses on Friday 13th November 1953 when the licence was temporarily transferred to Henry Jordan. As well as running the Waggon & Horses, Mr. Taylor had once carried on the trade of blacksmith in the forge adjoining the public house. He had not however carried on that business for some years. Upon retirement Mr. & Mrs. Taylor were to resettle at the JOLLY FARMERS, Watton, where one of their daughters lived.
