John Goose is named by the Norfolk Chronicle as a publican at Kirby Bedon in the trial of John Warnes who was accused of stealing a silk handkerchief on May 29th 1850. The said offence said to have taken place at the Bramerton Woods End public-house.
(Warnes was acquitted since no felonious intent was proved.)
The Norfolk News of 6th July 1850 gives the name as John Goose Baxter.
