At the East Harling Petty Sessions, Tuesday 31st August 1869, the licence of the TROWEL & HAMMER, beerhouse, Rockland All Saints, could not be issued since no notices had been served in time as required by the Act.

On Tuesday 6th July 1869 - Henry Hinchley, beerhouse keeper of Rockland All Saints was fined a total of 17s 9d including costs, for permitting drunkenness in his house on 18th June 1869. He was further charged with allowing a mare and a cow to stray on the highway at Shropham on 19th June 1869 and incurred another fine of 9s 6d including costs.
