The Creditors of farmer Richard Golden were to meet at the house of Edward Golden, Innkeeper, Suffield, on Wednesday 17th June 1778.

Shown on Bryant's 1826 map.

The Furniture and Fittings in the Bedrooms, Parlours, Bar, Storeroom, Kitchens, Tap and Wash-house, plus a Dog-cart and other effects of Mr. William Carter, were offered for sale by Auction Monday 27th October 1856 in consequence of the property being discontinued as a public house.

In spite of this Mr. Carter is still recorded in the 1858 directory as being resident at the Suffield Arms.

Not found after 1858.

Maria, the third daughter of Edward Carter, married Mr. James Golder at Hoxton, Middlesex, on 23rd December 1851.
