At the Annual Licensing Meeting held Saturday 28th August 1869 the licence of Mr. Pointer was refused owing to him keeping a disorderly house.

At the Petty Sessions 26th August 1870, Thomas Burton charged William Avy of being disorderly in his house on 20th August, and refusing to leave. Mr. Avy was fined 2s with costs of 13s.
