Owing to a general dislike of the police by labourers in the area, and the assaults that had occurred, the feeling of the Magistrates was shown on 2nd June 1847. Robert Norton was fined £5 and costs for refusing to admit police into his house between the hours of twelve and one o'clock, on the night of 25th May, .

The house was sold by A. R. Bentley to Charles Page of Baldock and Emily Page of Snettisham - for £275 - in September 1885.

Eliza Germany said to be still living there in 1914....
