Monday 7th October 1907 - Charged of being drunk on licensed premises on 15th September and of using foul language on the highway the same day. "There seems to have been a family quarrel and Mr. Powell being undoubtedly of a rather excitable nature". Fine of 10s and 13s costs on the first charge and 5s and 4s costs on the second charge.

Identified as the EIGHT RINGERS in January 1785.

Given as the RINGERS in 1789 but as the
SIX RINGERS in 1791 & 1795.

To Let with entry Lady Day 1841.
The RINGERS - apply to Mr. Bidwell's Brewery, East Dereham.

Described in 1890 as including a Porter Room.

Steward & Patteson business report, prepared May 1969 for Watney Mann (East Anglia) Ltd recommended immediate closure.
"Poor trade. A short walking distance from the Bowling Green.
Often closed at lunchtimes and the lounge used as a store."

Ceased trading May 1970.
Licence not renewed February 1971.


 
Thomas Gardiner, Bell-founder, fitted a Peal of Six Bells in the Parish in September 1746.
In September 1749 he added two Trebles to the Peal.
