Charged 28th December 1863 of selling beer at prohibited hours on Sunday 6th December - Case dismissed.
Monday 9th May 1864 - Charged with furious driving on the public highway on 4th April. In the incident he had sustained broken ribs and other injuries. At the time it was proved he was incapably drunk and unable to control his horse. Fine of 30s and 18s costs.
(He was returning from the Jolly Farmers, Wood Dalling, had sworn at Police-constable Grimes, whipped his horse into a gallop and had fallen out of his cart)

For Sale by Auction Wednesday 11th October 1871 - Freehold. One of thirteen licensed house to be sold.

On Monday 25th October 1875, Miss Robotham applied for indorsement of the Horse Shoes to her. The application was refused as she was a single woman and not a suitable person. Miss Robotham remarked that her brother John would assist her in the business. The Bench however, declined, John having been convicted in the past months for drunkenness. They were cautioned against continuing to draw intoxicating liquors.
