On the morning of Saturday 12th July 1856
Police-constable Hardy passed the house at about a quarter past one.
Looking in he saw a light and some men with mugs before them. Mrs.
Bowen said that she was awaiting the arrival of two lodgers and she
had given the beer being drunk to the men.
On the following Tuesday she was fined 6d and 11s 6d costs.
Licence provisionally refused 01.03.1916 and referred to Compensation.
