DANIEL TOWN 1809 - 1811

Saturday 18th March 1809. Daniel Town Junior advised his Friends and the Public that in consequence of his Father (for whom he had acted as a servant for many years) having taken a partner, he had now commenced business on his own account. He would accommodate those gentlemen, who may please to favour him with their commands, with safe horses and good Gigs, or Saddle Horses, by applying at his house, the Ordnance Arms.

Not found after 1811

On Tuesday 12th April 1814, at the Norwich Quarter Sessions, Daniel Town and his wife Sarah were prosecuted by Rebecca Whitworth who claimed a violent assault had been made on her on 25th March 1813.
Mrs. Whitworth had disrespected Mrs Town and Mr. Town had reacted to the abusive and troublesome woman. Mrs Town had come to the aid of her husband.
Daniel Town was found guilty of unmanly conduct and fined 1s and One Month's Imprisonment. Sarah Town was acquitted.
