Landlord Charles Hudson committed suicide by hanging, Sunday, 12th February 1865. His housekeeper found him hanging from a bed-post at about 9:20 a.m. He was cut down but expired five minutes later. "He had been in low spirits for some time". The jury recorded a verdict of "Deceased hung himself while in a state of unsound mind".

Licence provisionally refused 8th February 1938 and referred to Compensation.
Closed under Compensation 31st December 1938.

Today a private dwelling.
