Found as the DUKE OF WELLINGTON 1830 to 1865.
Also given as the WELLINGTON TAVERN.

 
An inquest into the death of 48 year old James Frary was held here Monday 18th September 1843. Living near the Wellington, Frary was a regular customer and had been served beer the previous day by licensee William Drane. Ten minutes after leaving the house he had apparently fallen down in a fit, at the house of Mr. Stebbings, three doors away and had died within five minutes.

Advertised To Let, November 1896, with early possession.
Apply Youngs, Crawshay, and Youngs, Crown Brewery, King Street, Norwich.
Licence provisionally refused 12th February 1929 and referred to Compensation.
Closed by Compensation 4th January 1930
