On Monday 15th September 1873, Edward Coe left a cart in the road, for a
considerable time, preventing the passage of other vehicles. Coe had
been abusive and insolent when remonstrated with. Constable Green had
been assaulted when he endeavoured to remove the cart.
On the following Wednesday a fine of 5s and costs was imposed.
