Monday 10th December 1860 - Samuel Leggitt, landlord, charged with allowing drunkenness in his house 20 minutes to one o'clock on Sunday morning. Case proved by Sergeant Frost, but as the house was of good character, and the old man had entered the house in the intoxicated state and refused to leave, the case was dismissed with a caution.
