Previously the site of the ROYAL EXCHANGE. For Sale by Auction Thursday 7th June 1888, by direction of Mr. J. Hastings who was retiring from the Trade. The Crane Hotel, recently erected and replacing a very Old Established Public-house. Well situated on the centre of the Quay, in the midst of the Shipping and Fishing Trades and within a few minutes reach of the Beach, Railway station and Fishwharf. Ceased trading 18th April 1961.
