Advertised 3rd December 1870 - To Let. described as a Handsomely-fitted out House and Bar, the Derby Wine Stores. Application by Mr. F. Ferrier for a spirit licence refused Monday 24th August 1871. (As was a separate application for the Ferrier Brewery.) Also found as the DERBY BAR, WINE STORES (1934) and 1871, 1900, 1959 to 1970's as the DERBY WINE STORES. Renamed the DERBY BAR 22nd March 1972 Became the RED HERRING in 1984. |
