In the 1832 Register of Electors Thomas Ellis junior is
Freeman no. 318 and described as a publican.
The house is not identified.
The name Thomas Ellis is found at the Prince Of Wales, Charlotte Street in
1836 and at the White Horse, King Street.
Lot No. 8 in the Sale by Auction of eight properties in Great
Yarmouth, Thursday 15th May 1856.
Location given as at the end of the Butchery.
24th July 1858 - James Barnes, a young man, was charged with
fraudulently obtaining £1 from licensee Henry Jackson.
Barnes has sold ten packages of supposed tobacco but upon examination it
was found that only the ends of the packets had been filled with the
weed, the remainder being filled with rubbish.
Remanded.
Not found after 1888.
Became a butcher's shop - demolished by the 1930's.
