On Monday 21st November 1859, Mr. King of the HALF MOON, was fined 5s for allowing Mrs. Manship to keep drunken and disorderly persons in the house at `unseasonable hours' in the HALF MOON TAP. |
51 North Quay in 1871 36 North Quay in 1886 37 North Quay in 1869 & 1894 Mrs Ruth Manship was described in January 1860 as a bold looking woman, of middle age, who had frequently figured before the (magistrates) court. Ruth Manship was found guilty, Monday 7th October 1861 of having persons drinking in her house on the previous morning, at illegal hours. Having been previously convicted of the same offence she was fined £2 5s, including costs, or 7 days' imprisonment in default. She paid the fine. Became the FALCON by 1896 |
