On Friday 13th January 1905 the licence was transferred from Mr. Hawkins
who said he tried to keep a quite house and found there was no trade. He
did not like the house. The rent was said to be £20 per year.

James Nelson Kemp appears in Kelly's directories for 1921, 1922 and 1925, but not in the
licence registers.
