Samuel Amis applied for a licence to sell wine, 22nd August 1882.

Described Friday 9th February 1934 as an anti-1869 beerhouse when the licence was voluntarily offered to be surrendered without compensation, in consideration of removal of the licence of the EARL GREY to a new house at Middleton Road.
If the licences were to be referred to compensation then the Lucknow Tavern would be entitled to £700 and the Earl Grey £1100.

Licence dropped 18th December 1934
