Located on the South West corner of Row 142, Middlegate Street to South Quay. Ex-Detective Burrows was granted a temporary licence 5th May 1893. He was advised that there would be no excuse for him if he infringed the law. House then identified as the COMPASSES. On 19th September 1893, Samuel James Burrows, lately a detective, applied for a music licence. Licence refused. Became the SOUTH QUAY DISTILLERY by 1901. |
