Address 1851 as 36 North Quay ?
In August 1890 it was reported that Henry Aldred had repeated his
request to the council for compensation for the time he had to close
owing to the widening of the North Quay. This was his third
application and by a vote of 8 for and 6 against, a sum of £30 was
agreed to be paid.
It was heard that Messrs. Lacon had given possession of part of the
Pleasure Boat to the Council to allow the widening.
