William Wade was fined `the usual 5s' on Monday 14th May 1860 for having
house open and permitting persons to be drinking therein at an illegal hour
on the previous morning.
The Norfolk Chronicle of 20th September 1862 reported that William Wade, of
the Recruiting Sergeant beerhouse, was ordered to put 5s in the poor box for
having the house open on Sunday 14th September, during divine service, with
persons drinking within.

to the renewal of licence on the grounds of redundancy - The Justices
apparently over-ruled his opinion.
