William Smith announced 28th May 1892, that he had recently extended his commodious premises and Opened a new Dining Room.
Diners would be served on Wednesdays between the hours of One and Three o'clock, price 1 shilling.
On Thursday 24th August 1899, It was heard that John Southgate had been reported for a conviction, *August `last', but since it was considered be a non-serious matter, his licence was renewed, with a caution.
*If August `last' means 1898, then the 19th August 1899 conviction was only 5 days before the above hearing. So did he have two convictions by that time?
