Licensee John Winter was charged Monday 26th August 1861 of having persons
drinking in his house at illegal hours, the previous day. It was explained
that no liquor had been drawn, but a person in the house had been ill and
had previously brought some rum with him. - Cautioned and discharged.
Conveyed 17th June 1884 from George Lucas, William James Steward, John Baker and Jane
Parker Ferrier to Donald Steward and Henry Staniforth Patteson.
S&P offered to drop
the full licence (Reported 25.08.1888), plus that of the PRINCESS CHARLOTTE,
George Street in exchange for a new Off-beer licence in Winifred Road, Southtown. The new
licence was granted.
