Previously the PLASTERERS ARMS (1846). John Ely advertised December 1857 that "if you wish for a Glass of Good Ale, try the Splendid Sparkling XXXX Suffolk Ale, at the Crystal Fountain." Mr. Ely was the sole Agent for the sale of the XXXX Suffolk Ale in Lynn. As the FOUNTAIN 1865 and in the Licence Registers from 1872. Address given as Blackfriars Road in 1860's. ~
