Monday 15th May 1853 -
Charged of having house open on Sunday 8th May during the hours of
divine service. Mr. Bunton had served a group of men who had arrived by
special cattle train from Carlisle, and had to unload and return
immediately. Some of the men were railway workers who had assisted
offloading.
Case dismissed on payment of 8s 6d. |
Monday 25th August 1851
- Accused of refusing to admit the police on 14th August. Accepting that
the authorities had the right of admittance, Mr. Bunton paid the costs
of the hearing. |

Monday 30th November 1868 - Ordered to
pay at least 2s 6d per week for the maintenance of his mother, who had
become chargeable to the Board of Guardians of the Docking Union. Also
to pay costs of £2 0s 11d. |
Monday 13th June 1870 - Paid a fine of
5s and 1s costs having been accused of striking his under-groom, Edward
Hodson, across the back with a stick. Mr. Vincent said he had lost his
temper when Hodson had told him a lie. |
