Tuesday 30th August 1983 - Landlord Barry Carter announced that he
was leaving the house as soon as a replacement tenant could be
found. His decision was due to the increase in the price of beer
which Norwich Brewery would introduce from Monday 5th September
1983.
The price of Webster's and Yorkshire Bitter, Bullards Mild,
Carlsberg, Fosters, and Holstein would all rise by 4p a pint.
