It was reported 17th November 1860 that Mr. Diggons had supplied beer to the BLACK JOKE and had not been paid. The occupant refusing to give up the house unless the landlord, (Mr. Diggons?) would forego the rent and beer bill. Location given as opposite Cricket Ground in 1878.
