Monday 25th January 1869 - accused of assaulting Christopher Bouch on
18th January. It was proved that Bouch had struck the first blow. Case
dismissed. |
Monday 5th July 1869 - Pleaded guilty of striking John Powell, master of
a billybuoy, a violent blow on the eye. Ordered to pay 10s to the poor
box and £1 2s costs. |
Monday 20th September 1869 - charged of having house open contrary to
the Public House early Closing Act. Two men had been found playing cards
with the landlord at 2:00 am on Tuesday 14th September. Claiming no beer
had been drawn before midnight, the summons was dismissed upon payment
of 9s 6d costs. |
Friday 24th September 1869 - charged with contravening the Early-closing
Act by keeping house open at illegal hours. Ordered to pay expenses of
8s 6d. |
