Stood on the site of St. James Church which was demolished in 1854. (Which had been previously used as a `Pest House' and later a Workhouse and Infirmary). ~ Appears to be the same as the COUNTY COURT INN, where Robert Wakefield Pickerell is named 1861 and 1864. ~ Music licence renewed Monday 29th February 1904. It was confirmed at the Brewster sessions Monday 12th February 1912 that the house held a music licence. This was renewed at the Sessions held 11th March 1912. |
