As ANN of BOHEMIA 1751 The KING of PRUSSIA in 1759 The SUN in 1791 & 1822 and the SUN HOTEL in 1846. Address as 38A in 1890 and 38 Norfolk Street in 1892. Closed 10th June 1940. 42 barrels of beer sold in the final year of trading. Reason for closure was that trade and licence was to be taken into account for a new house at Gaywood. Premises damaged by enemy action 12th June 1942. The licence was noted as `In Suspense under the Finance Act of 1942' and no application for renewal was made 2nd February 1953. The licence was surrendered and the property disposed of unlicensed. |
