The property, when sold by auction on the 9th September 1847 was described as including:- Parlour, 2 Kitchens, Beer Cellar, Dining Room - All on the ground floor. 4 Bedrooms over. Freehold. On Tuesday 4th March 1851 as Mr. Hornigold was parking up his booth, following his attendance at the Downham Fair, a sum of some £14 or £15 was stolen from the waggon. His assistant, Thomas Kilbourn absconded but was arrested on Saturday 8th March by police-constable Mitchell of Chatteris. |
