In December 1838, John Coleman is described as the owner of a cottage and garden on the Private Road commencing from the public highway called the Thurton to Claxton Road. On Friday, 7th December 1849, the Freehold Dwelling, in Ashby, with a well planted garden and 1r. 7p., in the occupation of Martin and Gunn, was to be Sold upon the instruction of Mr. John Coleman. A second Dwelling and two Cottages were also to be sold. |
