The Matter regarding the Relief of the Insolvent Debtor Timothy Richardson was to be heard in the Court House, Lincoln Fields, 25th January 1827.
As reported December 1826 when Mr. Richardson was described as late of the Bear, Licensed Victualler and Farmer, and Carrier from Attleborough to Norwich.

Address as Ellingham Road in 1863.

Plans to demolish and turn site into housing opposed throughout 1998 & 1999.

Planning refused for demolition December 1999.
But site won approval for housing.

House closed and boarded up January 2000.

The name was reborn when the long closed premises of the ODDFELLOWS reopened as the BEAR, April 2000
