On 17th May 1831 a substantial Dwelling House, Licensed for the Sale of
Beer was offered for sale by auction. Pleasantly situated in the Street
of Attleborough, against the Turnpike Road, it was said to be in good
trade. Occupant Mr. Samuel Smith. George Bowden and John Rogers were in
occupation of adjoining properties in the sale Lot. |

Mr. J. F. Shardlow was to be sold by Auction, Thursday 30th July, 1840,
since he was declining business at Attleborough. The Equipment included
a Fourteen-barrel copper, a Three-barrel copper, mash tubs, underbecks,
coolers, working troughs, barrels, half-barrels, small casks, malt mill
with rollers, lead pump and pipe, beer stand, ale stools, &c. A Luggage
Cart and Harness and other Effects would also be sold. |
