Owned by Thomas Cressy in 1612 and documented as `Le Angell'. Mentioned in the will of Robert Hall dated 22nd June 1669 as ` my houses and lands called the Angel '. Matthew Dye is given the publican here in 1689. Closure date for the Angel is unknown, but probably about 1715 when the house was sold, or 1718 when it was sold again. |
