At the Petty Sessions held at Attleborough Tuesday 30th October 1866,
licensee Wake sought to recover the sum of £1 outstanding for the sale of a
pony to a Mr. Kidd. The latter had paid £3 and had said the remaining £1
would be paid if the pony was satisfactory, or he would return it. He had
neither returned the pony or paid the £1.
Mrs Kidd and a witness named Mullinger confirmed that the pony was
unsuitable and so it was declared that Mr. Wake was non-suited and was to
pay costs.

Committee 29th May 1962.
