It was reported 7th November 1885 that John Bridges applied on
Monday 2nd November 1885 for transfer of the Outdoor licence from the
executors of the late Mrs. Smith. Although Bridges was not known in the
area, the licence was transferred to him since "being an Outdoor licence
Only, it made a great difference to the case".
