On Saturday 27th October 1894, it was reported that the licence
of the Fox & Hounds had been transferred on Monday 22nd October,
from Mr. W. Baker to Jesse Green.
On Saturday 10th November 1894, it was reported that the licence
of the Fox & Hounds had been transferred on Monday 5th November,
from Mr. W. Baker to W. Leonard Self.
On Saturday, 23rd May 1896, it was reported that Jesse Green had
sold beer to a drunken person. He had only been at the house for
a little over a year, and intended leaving at Michaelmas.
<So it appears that the licence of
Jesse Green was not confirmed at the Licensing Sessions that
followed the October 1894 Petty Sessions. Mr. Self also seems to
have had a very short stay at the Fox & Hounds.> |
