December 1910 - Sued by Susan Hubbard for unpaid wages amounting to £2 15s for twenty-three weeks service between 15th March and 15th August. The agreed rate was 5s a week, of which only £3 had been paid of the £5 15s due.
A counter claim by Mr. Wright of £3 11s 6d  for providing drinks and other articles was dismissed by His Honour since "The amount charged for drinks in the house was in violation of the Act"

At the Licensing Sessions Monday 31st August 1885, Superintendent Ward objected to licence renewal on the grounds that Elizabeth Ward did not properly conduct business. Upon the promise from Messrs. Bullard and Co. that the licensee would be replaced, the licence was renewed.
