In Smithdon Register taken 13th September 1790.
At the Licensing Sessions Monday 31st August 1885, Superintendent Ward
objected to licence renewal on the grounds that Elizabeth Ward did not
properly conduct business. Upon the promise from Messrs. Bullard and Co.
that the licensee would be replaced, the licence was renewed.
