Mr. H. Harnwell was proprietor of a Blacksmith's and Wheelwright's Shop, Bressingham,  in 1817 when it was to be Sold by Auction Friday, 27th June, 1817.


Mr. J. Harnwell of the Lion beerhouse, Bressingham, married Mary Ann, eldest daughter of Mrs. Peveret, of the CHEQUERS INN, South Lopham, during July 1832.

It was reported Saturday, 10th July 1841 - The Churchwardens of Bressingham, appellants and the Churchwardens of Upwell, Isle of Ely, respondents, against an order of removal of John Harnwell and his wife and child, from Upwell to Bressingham. The respondents established the settlement of the pauper in the parish of Bressingham, by proof of living in service there; upon which the Court confirmed the order of removal, and ordered that the appellants pay the respondents 40s for costs.
