Built upstream from the ferry landing by Sir Thomas Beauchamp-Proctor.
The ferry ran from the BEAUCHAMP
ARMS on the opposite side of the river.
Mr. Charles Layton instructed the Sale by Auction, to
be held Monday 4th October 1869, of all his Live and Dead Stock, Effects
including seven Rowing Boats, a Stack of Marsh Hay and part of the
Household Furniture, since he was retiring from business.
