The transfer of licence to Mr. Potter was celebrated on Tuesday 27th
October 1874. Seventeen people sat down to table. After the repast, a very pleasant and merry evening was
spent. Toasts and songs went round merrily until ten o'clock. The dinner
was excellent and the health of the host and hostess was warmly drunk.
Mistakenly given as VICTORY 1883
Trade in March 1905 given as 55 barrels of beer and 48 gallons of
spirits, per annum.
