 The will of Gilbert Holding was written 7th May 1825
 and mentions that the SHIP was then newly erected.
 The will was proved 7th January 1834
 and his wife Alice was left the `messuage or tenement, or public house
      commonly known by the name or sign of the Ship, together with houses,
      outhouses, land adjoining etc....'
